Echoes of a Better Time
In recent times, I've begun to archive remnants of the old internet. Old website links (and in recent times, downloading the entirety of said website's pages), old YouTube videos, old internet media, etc. Things like this are important, as with the ever increasing decline of the internet, such as YouTube becoming user-hostile, these remnants will disappear forever if not archived. Every bit of soul, passion, and personal expression from back then, gone. I've personally experienced this, with old YouTube videos I loved from back then gone, the only remaining evidence of their existence my own memories.
Sombering as it is, this is why I implore you, the person reading this, to take up archiving things from back then that you love if you have the capability for it. No matter how minute the website or video, preserve it. Do it before it's too late, they won't be around forever.
